Proper storage is a fundamental factor in order not to waste months of cultivation. Without adequate and careful storage, it is unlikely that the harvest will come to an end without losing power and flavor, due to the natural effects of time. The environmental factors that cause crop degeneration are: Humidity: Humidity favors the proliferation of molds and fungi. Maintaining correct humidity levels ensures that any contaminants do not attack the crop. The ideal level of humidity, suitable for storage, is between 59% and 63%. A lower level further reduces the risk of mold, but can cause dehydration, resulting in a reduction in essential oils. Temperature: The temperature affects the possible formation of mold. Molds proliferate between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius, lower temperatures can reduce its potency. Light: UV rays are dangerous for the integrity of the crop, if exposed to light for too long it will begin to lose power. Be sure to store the crop in a dark place. Air: Although the crop needs a constant supply of fresh oxygen during growth, excessive exposure to air during storage could accelerate the degenerative process. Air interacts with humidity, especially if the crop is not completely dried. For these reasons we present a wide range of accessories for the preservation and maintenance of the product
