Digital field DO meter

The Milwaukee MW600 PRO is a portable dissolved oxygen meter. It is one of Milwaukee's most popular meters due to its reliable, fast operation and laboratory-level accuracy at an affordable price. Used by educators, field biologists through to fish breeders and koi pond owners.

OUTDOOR" CALIBRATION PROCEDURE

Removing the membrane
Remove the membrane from the end of the probe and dry the diode.
Reset the display
Connect the probe to the base unit and switch the unit on. Your display should read 0.0. If it does not, go to the "0" position by screwing in the front of the unit with the screwdriver provided and through the access hole make the unit's display read 0.0.
Filling the Membrane
Go to the membrane and put the 'O' ring inside the membrane on the shoulder at the base of the wires. Fill the membrane just before the O-ring (gasket) with electrolyte solution MA9071. Ensure that there are no bubbles inside the membrane. (Air bubbles are the main cause of calibration failure).
Attach the membrane
Screw the membrane onto the probe.
Allow to stabilise
Switch on the instrument and hang the probe on the end of a table facing downwards and let the unit's display stabilise (this may take 5 to 15 minutes).
Adjust
Push down and hold the 'Cal' button on the front of the instrument and use the screwdriver to go to the front Cal position '100%' and let the display read 100.
It is now calibrated.

Tips

Pay attention to the membrane with wrinkles or stretch marks. If you see wrinkles, replace it with a new membrane. Always use a fresh electrolyte solution (MA9071).

We recommend calibrating the instrument with a 'zero oxygen calibration solution' for greater measurement accuracy.
