Renew is a ready-to-use water-based silicone, single component, suitable for covering and renewing all sanitary applications with excellent resistance to mold. The product is applied as a coating on corner seals to improve their appearance (to cover signs of mold and cracks on existing seals, etc.). Renew acts at room temperatures, forming a long-lasting silicone coating.

FIELD OF APPLICATION

• Renew corner seals in bathrooms, showers, kitchens, laundries
• Renew the joints between the sanitary fittings (bathtub, sink) and flooring or masonry.
• Repair of damaged (angled) silicone seals, existing seals can be re-covered

The seal to be covered must be clean, free of oil, grease, dust and residues and must be thoroughly dry. The surface can be cleaned with a special degreaser.

• Where necessary, remove old seal, areas with mold or other residue. Mold seals must first be cleaned with a sponge and a mold remover (hypochlorite-based cleaners; e.g. Smuffer Ariasana). Subsequently, rinse meticulously with water, dry the surface and apply Renew.
• Remove the cap and position the applicator at an angle (about 90 °) with respect to the seal, so that the edges of the applicator are in contact with both sides of the seal. Extrude the product, moving
• the applicator along the joint, making sure that the product is extruded in full contact with the old seal to be covered.
• In case of vertical sealing it is advisable to apply Renew from the bottom up. If necessary, repeat the application over the entire surface without applying pressure.
• Clean the applicator (with wet paper) directly after use and close the cap tightly.

Drying time:

• The product must be left to dry for a few hours (at least 6) before any contact with water. Avoid contact with cleaning agents in the first 24 hours after application.

Cleaning:

• Fresh product can be removed with a wet cloth, paper or sponge. Rinse immediately after cleaning. The dried product is resistant to most solvents and can only be removed mechanically.
