Soundproofed mixed-flow inline fans with EC motor
The Blauberg In Wave EC is a soundproofed mixed-flow inline fan or extractor with EC motor.
Available in two models:
- InWave EC 150/160
- inWave EC 100/125 Max
The new inWave EC series of duct fans features a special soundproofed casing for quiet operation and excellent aerodynamic characteristics. The inWave EC fans combine the versatility and outstanding performance of axial and centrifugal fans by producing powerful airflow and high pressure, while maintaining the distinctive energy efficiency and response of EC motors. Several fans can be integrated into a single computer-controlled system with sensor feedback combined with speed control over the full dynamic range.
Use Cases:
InWave EC extractors are used in combined supply and exhaust ventilation systems of various commercial spaces, controlled growing areas, and industrial spaces with stringent noise requirements (such as libraries, conference rooms, classrooms, kindergarten playrooms, etc.). For ventilation air ducts requiring high pressure, powerful airflow and low noise level, combined with a low weight, just 5 kg.
Quiet, powerful and high-quality air extractor
The housing and impeller are made of durable, high-quality plastic. Internal perforations in the housing conduct sound waves and direct them to the sound-absorbing material at a specific angle. Acoustic and thermal insulation is provided by a 50-mm-thick layer of mineral wool. Broadband noise control is achieved by special perforation of the casing and the use of sound-absorbing material.
Conical impellers with specially profiled blades help increase the angular velocity of airflow, resulting in higher air pressure and airflow rate than conventional designs. The combination of a diffuser, a specially designed impeller, and flow rectifier vanes at the fan outlet enable optimal flow distribution to achieve high capacity and higher air pressure without generating excessive noise. The fan case is equipped with an external watertight terminal box for electrical connections. EC technology meets updated requirements for energy conservation and controllable ventilation and provides up to 35 percent energy savings over asynchronous motors. It provides a fully controllable speed range for the fan and has built-in overheating protection with automatic restart. The EC motor has no friction and wear parts such as capacitor and brushes. A maintenance-free EC controller electronic board is used instead. The fan is 50 Hz and 60 Hz mains compatible, and the maximum speed does not depend on the mains frequency.
Mounting the In Wave Air Extractor Fan
The Blauberg InWave can be mounted alone or with temperature control units, paying attention to the electrical specifications (EC motor).
- The fans are designed for use with round air ducts.
- The fan casing has mounting brackets for convenient installation on the floor, walls or ceiling. The ducts can be mounted at any angle to the axis of the fan.
- Be sure to provide sufficient access for maintenance when installing the fan. Electrical connection and installation should be done according to the instruction manual and electrical connection diagram attached to the terminal board.
- A single system can have multiple fans installed in parallel to increase output capacity or in series to increase operating pressure.
