To be placed in the saucer
The square root control disks are designed to fit the AutoPot 1Pot system, easy2grow kit and extension kit.
These discs are black and gold in color and are placed in the tray under the vase, gold facing up. The purpose of the Root Control Disc is to prevent the roots from leaving the pot and heading towards the AQUAvalve. They are very effective thanks to the special golden metallic coating. Please note that the roots even though they are tender have the ability to pass through concrete, so it is advisable to occasionally lift the pot to see if any have managed to escape the barrier. If so, you can simply cut the roots off with a pair of scissors. This will not harm the plant in any way. Although the discs last several cycles, it is recommended that you replace the discs at the beginning of each cycle.
