This photometer is equipped with an innovative optical system that uses LEDs, narrow band interference filters, a focusing lens, a silicon photodetector for absorbance measurement and a reference detector to maintain a constant light source capable of guarantee precise and always repeatable photometric readings.

The HI83325 photometer makes it easy to comprehensively monitor vital nutrients such as potassium, calcium and magnesium. Potassium, being required in large quantities, plays a fundamental role both in the water absorption process and in the control of enzymes. Calcium helps strengthen the plant's cell walls by protecting it from heat stress, while magnesium helps build a strong immune system.
A digital pH electrode input allows the user to measure the pH with a traditional glass electrode. The digital pH electrode is equipped with a microchip inside the probe capable of storing all the calibration information. Having the calibration information stored in the probe, it is possible to replace the pH electrode without having to recalibrate it. All pH measurements are automatically compensated for changes in temperature using a thermistor included in the tip of the sensitive bulb for fast and accurate temperature measurement.
The HI83325 offers absorbance measurement mode that allows you to use CAL CHECK standards to validate system performance. The absorbance measurement mode allows the user to select one of the 3 light sources (420 nm, 466 nm, 525 nm) to measure and track the concentration using absorbance curves. This is useful for users using their own chemical method and in the educational sector to teach the concept of absorbance using the Lambert-Beer law.
