Garland - Plant Halos offer an 'all in one' solution for irrigating and supporting crops such as tomatoes, peppers and beans. Plant Halos can be used on growbags, pots (26 cm diameter or larger), raised beds and also on traditional vegetable gardens. The central inner pot creates the planting area, which is particularly useful when used with growbags, as it allows a deeper planting area to develop healthier plants. The 3.1 litre outer 'ditch' is equipped with six 2.8 cm irrigation spikes that penetrate below the surface, bringing water directly to the roots of the plants. In this way, water and liquid nutrients are delivered at a reduced rate that the plant is better able to absorb, avoiding the wastage that often occurs with traditional irrigation. Typically, the water reservoir takes 3 to 6 hours to empty completely, depending on weather and soil conditions. Plant Halos also features a unique reed support system. 3 anchoring slots surround the inner pot and provide the means for a rigid, wind-resistant structure using bamboo canes (not included). A plug for holding the canes is also included. Plant Halos are made of recycled, UV-stabilised plastic.
