These lights are perfect for illuminating seedlings and vegetative plants. Plants need the right light spectrum to allow for rapid, lush growth that has been proven to be between 400 and 700 nw, and this CFL lamp produces exactly that spectrum.

CFL lamps do not generate excessive heat so they can be placed quite close to plants without damaging them. This is one of the main advantages of these lights, they can be placed just 3-4 cm from the plants. For your own safety, install the lamp without having connected the voltage and screw it holding it by the base, not the glass.
